BOCA RATON, Fla. – Three matches over the next two weeks remain on the Kentucky men’s soccer team’s regular-season schedule. The Wildcats will begin the penultimate week of the regular season Wednesday with a trip to Conference USA foe Florida Atlantic.
The match will kick off at 7 p.m. ET and be broadcast on CUSA.TV.
The setup
Kentucky held at No. 14 in this week’s NSCAA coaches’ poll and moved up two spots to No. 12 in this week’s NCAA Rating Percentage Index.
Kentucky has an overall 2016 record to won 9, lost 3, drew 2. The Wildcats are undefeated at home, with all three losses having come on the road, including both of their C-USA losses.
The Wildcats are 3-2 in C-USA action.
Kentucky is 2-3 away from The Bell this season. UK won its 2016 opener 4-0 at Marquette and at Evansville earlier this month.
Kentucky is on a two-match winning streak, and is 6-1-1 in its last eight outings.
Charlie Reymann leads C-USA with seven assists, two more than the next closest player’s total.
Goalkeeper Stuart Ford has kept clean sheets in 57 percent of its games (8 of 14) this season, ranking 10th nationally in that category. Kentucky’s defense has not allowed a shot on goal in two straight matches.
Kentucky has the sixth-best goals-against average defense (.537) in the nation. 
FAU (4-7-1, 2-3 C-USA) sits in sixth place on the C-USA table with six points. Kentucky is fourth on nine points.
South Carolina tops the league table on 13 points (4-0-1), Charlotte is second on 12, and FIU is third with 10 points.
The precedent
Kentucky is 3-0-1 against FAU all-time. The Wildcats won 3-0 at The Bell last year, with Xahne Reid scoring a brace and Stefan Stojkovic also getting on the scoresheet.
The two teams ground out a 0-0 result the last time they met in Boca Raton, two years ago.
