- In the third inning, with one out and runners on first and third, leftfielder Zach Reks made a running catch of a fly ball and fired a strike to the plate to retire the runner tagging from third
- In the fourth inning, with nobody out and runners on first and third, pitcher Zack Brown picked off the runner on first. First baseman Evan White ran down the runner, then whirled and threw home, where catcher Troy Squires tagged out the runner trying to score from third
