Anderson Places Second in 110m Hurdles to Conclude Raleigh Relays
Results
RALEIGH, N.C. – Nick Anderson placed second in the 110-meter hurdles to carry
the banner for the Kentucky track and field team at N.C. State’s Raleigh Relays
on Saturday.
Anderson ran a season-best 13.95, aided by a +2.2 meters per second wind.
Kenshard Hamilton, Victor Ini-Oluwa Oye, Xavier Jones and Fred Dorsey ran 40.52
to place fourth in the 4x100m relay.
Naija Omari ran a personal best 53.67 to place 12th in the 400m hurdles.
Jacob Thomson ran a personal best 29:01.34, to win the 10k on Friday. The time
is the early NCAA leader, with not all performances from across the country
reported on the national descending-order list at time of publication.
The 2016 Raleigh Relays included 2,306 individual entries and 254 relay
teams and more than 100 universities entered athletes in the meet.
This weekend’s competition only featured Wildcats from the Kentucky men’s team.
UK’s women’s team was rated No. 9 nationally to begin the outdoor season in the
United States
Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association computer rankings, on Wednesday.
Kentucky will send a large and diverse group to the Florida Relays next
weekend.
