UK Rifle’s 2016 Postseason Awards Announced

LEXINGTON, Ky.  – Kentucky picked up five All-America honors
and seven Scholastic All-America awards for the 2015-16 season.

Hanna Carr led UK with a first-team selection to the National Rifle Association
All-America team in smallbore, a second-team selection in air rifle and a
second-team selection from the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association, which
accounts for combined scores.

Heather Kirby was UK’s lone first-team member in air rifle for the second year
in a row.

Sonya May was named to the second team in air rifle. She is now a six-time
All-American

Kentucky had seven CRCA Scholastic All-Americans: Billy Azzinaro, Jenna Bethea,
Carr, Kirvy, May, Cathryn Papasodora and Jason Spaude.

The Kentucky rifle team finished fifth at the 2016 NCAA Championships, and
second at the Great American Rifle Conference Championships.
