Quinn and Gray Set Freshman Records on Saturday at ASU

TEMPE, Ariz. — Jasmine Quinn and Kianna Gray broke Kentucky freshman records on Saturday at Arizona State’s Castillo Invitational. 

Gray tied the 100 meters freshman record and broke the 200m record. She won the 200m in 23.29 and placed third in the 100m in 11.48.
Quinn ran 13.01 into a headwind to win the 100m hurdles.
Kentucky Wildcats won six events on Friday. Coupled with Lou Styles’ 1,500m win Wildcats won seven events at the Castillo Invitational, which was UK’s first competition of the outdoor season.

The Kentucky women’s team won the team competition 134.5-117.5 over Texas A&M. The Aggie men’s team won 212-102 over Kentucky.

Destiny Carter tied her personal best to win the long jump with a mark of 20’5.75”/6.24m. 
Daje Pugh ran 58.88 to win the 400m hurdles. 
Marie-Joseé Ebwea-Bile won the triple jump with a mark of 41’3.25”/12.58m (-1.2).
Adriana Brown won the shot put with a mark of 51’10.5”/15.81m. Brown placed third in the discus with a nearly-10-foot personal best 174’5”/53.18m.
Fred Dorsey leapt to a PR 25’1.25”/7.65m to place second in the long jump.
Nik Huffman placed fourth in the shot put with a mark of 56’10”/17.32m. That was an outdoor PR, though he’s thrown 60’9.25”/18.52m indoors.
