Kentucky Falls at Ole Miss, 73-65

Makayla Epps scored 22 points, but Kentucky was unable to overcome 21 turnovers as the Wildcats lost to Ole Miss 73-65 on Thursday night in Oxford.
Epps only hit five of her 14 field goal attempts, but she was 12-of-12 from the free throw line in the game.
The game was close throughout, although Kentucky led only once in the game, after freshman Maci Morris hit a three-pointer in the first quarter to give Kentucky a 7-6 lead. The Wildcats cut the lead to four late, but could not get over the hump.
Kentucky (14-3, 3-3 SEC) got 13 points from Evelyn Akhator, while Morris added 10.
Ole Miss (10-9, 2-4) was led by Shequila Joseph, who scored 21 points. A’Queen Hayes and Shandricka Sessom each added 14 for the Rebels. Ole Miss scored 22 points off of Kentucky’s turnovers.
Kentucky returns to action on Monday night against the Tennessee Lady Vols at Memorial Coliseum. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. ET and the game can be seen on ESPN2.
