LEXINGTON, Ky. – In preparation for the Blue/White Scrimmage on Dec. 13, UKathletics.com presents “Meet the Wildcats,” an opportunity for you to get to know a little more about the 2016 Kentucky Gymnastics team. Today’s Meet the Wildcats features freshman Katie Stuart.
Katie Stuart, a freshman from Suwanee, Ga., enters 2016 after claiming titles in all-around, uneven bars, and balance beam at the Georgia State Championships in 2014. She qualified for J.O Nationals in both 2013 and 2014, where she finished in the top-20 in the all-around and grabbed a 10th place finish on bars at J.O. Nationals. In 2013 she won the vault title at the Georgia State Championships and swept the individual events at the 2013 Sterling Classic. A graduate of Lambert High School, she won vault and placed third in the all-around and on beam at the Georgia State Championships in 2012.

The Wildcats kick off the 2016 season with the Blue/White scrimmage on Sun., Dec. 13 at 2p.m. The scrimmage will serve as a preview to the 2016 season, with the season opener Excite Night set for Fri., Jan. 8 against Ball State at 7 p.m. All home meets will be held in Memorial Coliseum.
