LEXINGTON, Ky. – In preparation for the Blue/White Scrimmage on Dec. 13, UKathletics.com presents “Meet the Wildcats,” an opportunity for you to get to know a little more about the 2016 Kentucky Gymnastics team. Today’s Meet the Wildcats features senior Cori Rechenmacher.
Rechenmacher returns for her sophomore year after being one of two freshmen named to the SEC All-Freshman Team, an honor never before earned by a University of Kentucky gymnast. During her historic freshman campaign, Cori competed in every meet on uneven bars and balance beam, posting a 9.825 on uneven bars and a 9.800 on balance beam at the SEC Championships. During a meet against Arkansas on Feb. 20th she posted a career-best 9.875 on beam. On top of her in-competition accomplishments, Cori also made the 2015 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
