Meet the Wildcats: Alyssa Bertoni
LEXINGTON, Ky. – In preparation for the Blue/White Scrimmage on Dec. 13, UKathletics.com presents “Meet the Wildcats,” an opportunity for you to get to know a little more about the 2016 Kentucky Gymnastics team. Today’s Meet the Wildcats features junior Alyssa Bertoni.
Alyssa Bertoni, a junior from Frederick, Md., redshirted her past two season with the Wildcats. Before her time with the Kentucky, she was a five-time Regional qualifier and excelling the most in bars and beam. She placed second at the State Championships on bars and competed at regionals in 2012, posted a second-place finish on bars at the Manhattan Classic and finished second on bars and third on floor at the Frederick Classic in 2013, and notched a top 10 finish at the 2013 State Championships and a top 20 finish at regionals.

The Wildcats kick off the 2016 season with the Blue/White scrimmage on Sun., Dec. 13 at a time still to be determined. The scrimmage will serve as a preview to the 2016 season, with the season opener Excite Night set for Fri., Jan. 8 against Ball State at 7 p.m. All home meets will be held in Memorial Coliseum.
