Meet the Wildcats: Amy Roemmele
LEXINGTON, Ky. – In preparation for the Blue/White Scrimmage on Dec. 13, UKathletics.com presents “Meet the Wildcats,” an opportunity for you to get to know a little more about the 2016 Kentucky Gymnastics team. Today’s Meet the Wildcats features senior Amy Roemmele.
Roemmele, a senior from White Lake, Michigan, enters 2016 after competing in every meet for the Wildcats as a junior on uneven bars and in eight meets on beam. She recorded a 9.825 on uneven bars at the NCAA Regionals after a season-best 9.850 at the SEC Championships. During Excite Night on January 16th she scored a 9.825 on the uneven bars, and a season-best 9.750 on beam against Alabama. She earned SEC Academic Team honors for the third consecutive season with the Wildcats.

The Wildcats kick off the 2016 season with the Blue/White scrimmage on Sun., Dec. 13 at a time still to be determined. The scrimmage will serve as a preview to the 2016 season, with the season opener Excite Night set for Fri., Jan. 8 against Ball State at 7 p.m. All home meets will be held in Memorial Coliseum.
