Wildcats Earn Top-10 Doubles Ranking, Three in Singles Top-120

LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the second
consecutive year, three Kentucky tennis standouts are ranked in the Oracle/ITA
Division I Women’s Preseason Rankings, it was announced. The rankings are
highlighted by Mami Adachi and Adila Sutjiadi earning a spot inside the top-10
at No. 9 in doubles.

The pairing finished ranked 26th last season,
after defeating the No. 12 doubles pair and making it to the Sweet 16 at the NCAA
Tournament.

Nadia Ravita is No. 56 in the singles
rankings, while Sutjiadi comes in at No. 78 and Adachi at No. 120. Adachi and
Sutjiadi’s doubles ranking is the fourth highest among the loaded Southeastern
Conference.

Drada and the Wildcats look to get back to the
NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year.

The Wildcats open the season
Sept. 18-20 at the Oracle/ITA Masters with only Adachi and Sutjiadi competing
as a doubles pairing. The team will then compete at the Las Vegas $50,000 on
Sept. 28 – Oct. 4. The spring portion of the schedule will begin on Jan. 23 as
Kentucky takes on Dartmouth in Ann Arbor, Mich., for the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
The first home matches at the Boone Center in Lexington are on Feb. 21 against
Michigan State and Eastern Kentucky.
