UK Radio Network Announces ‘Texas Roadhouse Countdown to Kickoff’

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The UK Radio Network will be expanding its game day coverage this season, starting two hours prior to kickoff, in the “Texas Roadhouse Countdown to Kickoff.” Christi Thomas and former UK quarterback Freddie Maggard will join Tom Leach, Jeff Piecoro and the rest of the broadcast team in the pregame coverage.

From the Cat Walk to Cat Talk, they will focus on the X’s and O’s of the game and bring a little fun to pregame in the first 30 minutes of the show. Afterward, Leach and Piecoro will continue their pregame broadcast of the “Texas Roadhouse Countdown to Kickoff” until the start of the game.  

The show is broadcast in Lexington on WLAP-630AM, online at ukathletics.com and the UK Radio Network affiliates.

For the first time, the two-hour pregame show will be live streamed on ukathletics.com for fans to not only listen to the “Texas Roadhouse Countdown to Kickoff” but also watch online and on your phone.
