Kendra Harrison Reaches Semifinal at World Championships
Update – 7:40 a.m. – Aug. 27. — Kendra Harrison was disqualified under the false start zero tolerance rule and did not advance past the semifinal.
The result doesn’t diminish her historic year in which she went undefeated in short hurdles races during the collegiate season, won two NCAA Championships, two SEC Championships, became one of the best tandem (100m and 400m hurdlers in history), and is a finalist for the Bowerman Award.
Harrison ran 12.90 for second place in her heat to move into Friday’s semifinal.
She will look for a place in the final in Friday’s race, which is scheduled for 7:25 a.m. ET.
