Soccer Welcomes Lipscomb for Exhibition on Wednesday

LEXINGTON. Ky. – One week into preseason camp the Kentucky men’s soccer team will face its second exhibition test, and first at home, vs. Lipscomb on Wednesday.
The match is set to kick off at 7 p.m., with gates of the Bell Soccer Complex opening at 6 p.m. Admission is free, although season ticket holders attending the match are encouraged to bring their UK soccer 2015 season scarves.
Season-ticket scarves will also be sold at the ticket window for $30 each.

Fans planning on attending the game are encouraged to budget extra time to arrive at The Bell as residential hall move-ins are expected to make the campus area more crowded then normal.

Kentucky dropped its preseason opener 1-0 at NKU on Sunday. The Wildcats will look to improve on Wednesday having trained on Tuesday looking to correct mistakes and more broadly to make strides in preparation for the regular-season opener next week.
The Wildcats are receiving votes in the NSCAA’s Preseason Coaches’ Poll.
Some of Kentucky’s top players are slated to take part in Wednesday’s tune-up, including senior captain Callum Irving and junior Napo Matososo. Both were named to the MAC Hermann Watch List, and also named as part of TopDrawerSoccer.com’s Best XI. Irving is the first-team goalie, while Matsoso was named to the midfield on the second team.
