LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the 10th time since 2001 the University of Kentucky and Auburn University will co-host the Gary Koch Invitational April 6-7 at the Gaston Country Club in Gastonia, N.C.

“What a privilege it will be to co-host the Gary Koch Invitational, with my longtime friend Coach Clinard, at the course we both grew up on,” UK coach Brian Craig said. “Gaston Country Club is just a fantastic golf course with wonderful people. They have really embraced this event and are doing everything they can to make it a special week for the participating teams. I have so many fond memories of learning to play this great game at Gaston and can’t wait to share that experience with my players and all of the other student-athletes coming to compete.”

The tournament has previously been played in Tampa, but will debut at the Gaston Country Club in 2015.

“I’m excited to carry on the Gary Koch Invitational at Gaston Country Club with long-time friend Coach Brian Craig,” Auburn head coach Nick Clinard said. “It’s indeed a privilege for our players to have the opportunity to play at Gaston and the golf course will be a fun and true test. The club and community have truly embraced the event and we are looking forward to competing.”
