LEXINGTON, Ky. — After totaling career highs in catches (91), yards (1,287) and receiving touchdowns (12), former Kentucky star Randall Cobb has been named to the 2015 NFL Pro Bowl Roster, it was announced.
A UK star quarterback/wide receiver from 2008-10, Cobb finished his 2014 season ranked ninth in the NFL In catches, 11th in receiving yards and tied for fourth in receiving touchdowns. Cobb played in all 16 games, with a career-long catch of 70 yards, also rushing 11 times for 37 yards. Cobb’s best game of the year came in an 11-catch, 131-yard outing in week 16 at Tampa Bay, also going for 10 catches and 120 yards vs. Philadelphia. In two games in the 2015 NFL postseason, Cobb totaled 15 catches for 178 yards and one TD.
In his four-year NFL career, Cobb has 227 catches for 3,049 yards, totaling 25 receiving touchdowns. He has three kick-returns for TDs, including two punt returns.
Cobb is the first former UK player to earn a spot on the Pro Bowl since Dermontti Dawson in 1998. Kentucky has been represented in the Pro Bowl a total of 46 times.

Matthews, Seahawks Advance to Super Bowl: Former Kentucky wide receiver Chris Matthews had a key onside kick recovery in the NFC Championship Game win over the Green Bay Packers, helping the Seattle Seahawks advance to Super Bowl XLIX.
A UK standout from 2009-10, Matthews hauled in an onside kick late in the fourth quarter to help spur the Seahawks to an improbable comeback win over the Packers. Matthews played in three regular-season games for Seattle, before emerging with the heroic play in the NFC Championship.
During his UK career, Matthews caught 93 passes for 1,279 yards and 12 touchdowns. As a junior, he caught 32 balls for 354 yards and three TDs, before having a breakout senior season in 2010, with 61 catches for 925 yards and nine TDs.
Kentucky has been represented a total of 39 times in the Super Bowl, including three Wildcats on the Denver Broncos in 2014, including Danny Trevathan, Jacob Tamme and Wesley Woodyard.
