LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky baseball team will hold four fall practice intrasquad scrimmages during the week, with tentative times announced by UK head coach Gary Henderson on Monday afternoon.
Kentucky will host four scrimmages during the week, starting with a 2:30 p.m. first pitch on Wednesday at Cliff Hagan Stadium. UK will then scrimmage on Friday at 2 p.m., Saturday at 11:45 p.m. and Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Cliff Hagan Stadium. The schedule is subject to change.
Available parking for Wednesday, Friday and Sunday will be in Parking Structure #7 for $2.00/hr, maximum of $16.00 per visit. On Saturday, due to the football game, Parking Structure #7 is only available to football permits. Non-permitted, free parking options are in Structure’s #2, #3 & #6. Parking Structure #2 is located next to WT Young Library and is about a five-minute walk to the Cliff.
Kentucky is coming off its ninth all-time NCAA Tournament appearance, boasting one of the top players in the history of college baseball in 2014, two-way star AJ Reed, who was the unanimous national player of the year. UK welcomes the No. 14 recruiting class in the nation in for the 2015 season and returns several standouts, including the second-best prospect in the Cape Cod League in righty Kyle Cody, CCBL All-Star outfielder Kyle Barrett and first-team All-Southeastern Conference outfielder Ka’ai Tom.
