LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 31 University of Kentucky women’s tennis team opens its conference play against No. 41 Louisiana State University on Friday, Feb. 28, at the Hilary J. Boone Varsity Tennis Center. The match is slated to begin at 11 a.m. ET.
Kentucky enters conference play with one of the best starts to its spring season in years. Coming off a 4-0 win over the University of Kansas, the Wildcats are now 10-2. No. 51 Ravita has also been a force for the Wildcats at the No. 1 single position, winning all of her five matches.
LSU (7-2) has won their last three matches, the most recent against McNeese State at home. Their only two losses came on the road to ranked teams, No. 9 Miami and No. 27 Florida State. The Tigers lead the series against Kentucky, 16-14. In their last meeting, the Wildcats fell to the Tigers in the first round of the SEC tournament, 4-3.
