LEXINGTON, KY. – The No. 40 University of Kentucky women’s tennis team continues their five match home stance with a doubleheader against Eastern Kentucky University and East Tennessee State University, Wednesday, Feb. 12 at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center. The first match begins at 10 a.m. ET against EKU followed by ETSU at 2 p.m. ET.
Kentucky (6-1) has met EKU 15 times in school history and has won every meeting. The Colonels enter Wednesday’s match, 3-2, with both losses happening away from home. Kentucky’s freshman will be put to the test against Eastern Kentucky’s veteran squad. They return 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year and two-time All-OVC first team selection, Amandine Faouzi.
Kentucky holds the advantage over ETSU winning six of seven total matches. Struggling on the road, the Buccaneers are looking to win their first road match against the Wildcats. They are 2-4 overall after a 6-1 loss to No. 52 Virginia Tech.
