Kentucky falls to 15-5, 5-2 in conference action, while LSU improves to 13-6 and 3-3 in conference.
Kentucky leads the series 83-25 including 29-17 in Baton Rouge and 5-1 in the John Calipari era.

Kentucky started with the lineup of sophomore Willie Cauley-Stein and freshmen Aaron Harrison, Andrew Harrison, Julius Randle and James Young. That lineup is 11-5.
Dakari Johnson was the first sub off the bench. It’s the ninth time this season he’s been the first substitution for the Cats.
LSU jumped out to a lead as big as a 16-point spread (22-6) in the opening stanza. It’s the largest deficit the Wildcats have faced in any game this season.
Kentucky utilized a 13-3 run over a 5:30 minute span to pull to within six at 25-19 with 7:44 to go in the opening half.

The Wildcats trailed 42-36 at the break. UK is 3-4 when trailing at the break including 1-2 in SEC action.
UK extended its 3-point streak to 881 consecutive games, the third longest streak nationally when Young connected on a long ball at the 13:12 mark of the opening half.
UK’s all-time record in the month of January moves to 582-197 and 31-7 under Calipari.
The Wildcats are now 44-10 all-time as the Associated Press’ No. 11 rated squad and 8-3 under Calipari.

Aaron Harrison recorded 14 points and six rebounds.
- Drained three 3-pointers, all three coming in the last minute of the game.
Dakari Johnson scored 15 points on 7-of-8 from the field and pulled down six rebounds.
- The 15 points is a new career-high for the freshman center and it’s his second career double-figure scoring game.
Alex Poythress tallied 10 points and seven rebounds.
- With 10 points in today’s game he became the 144th Kentucky player to score 500 or more points in a career.
- Had two traditional three-point plays and now has three on the season.
- Logged double-figures for the third-straight game and sixth of the season.
James Young drained five 3s to lead Kentucky with 23 points and seven rebounds.
- Hit five 3-pointers and has now connected on at least one from long range in eight consecutive games.
- Tied a season-high with five 3s in the game, previously hitting five 3s vs. UT Arlington.
- Led the team with two assists.
