LEXINGTON, Ky. – The seventh season of “The Matthew Mitchell Show,” the unique and official Kentucky women’s basketball coach’s television show, is set to begin Saturday, Nov. 30 at 12:30 p.m. ET on the CW in Lexington, Ky. The show will air on Saturday afternoons on the CW and on Sunday afternoons regionally on Fox Sports South.
“It’s a fun time of year for us as we prepare for another season of the `The Matthew Mitchell Show,'” UK head coach Matthew Mitchell said. “They say time flies when you’re having fun and that’s what “The Matthew Mitchell Show’ is all about, having a good time, having fun and getting some insight into our program. We really want to show the personality of our program and how much fun we have here. Our fans have been so loyal watching it. I’m always pleasantly surprised about how much interest there is in the show.
“Jenna is back for her seventh year, willing to help us all become better in the kitchen. Senior Bernisha Pinkett is back for her third and final season in the `Guitar Tip of the Week’ and we have a new segment called the `Big Blue Kat Korner.’ We look for this to be a banner season on the show.”
Along with co-host Christi Thomas, a sports anchor from WKYT, Coach Mitchell recaps the latest Wildcats’ games and hosts the popular segments “30-second Shot Clock,” “Guitar Tip of the Week,” “Coach’s Tip of the Week,” and “Coach’s Kitchen.” He also will unveil a new segment this season called “Big Blue Kat Korner.”
