Team Records and Series Notes

  • UK improved to 3-0 on the season, giving the Wildcats their first 3-0 start since 2011-12 and fourth time in the Matthew Mitchell era.
  • Kentucky’s all-time record is 689-477 (.591) in 40 seasons of varsity basketball.
  • The win improves UK’s record in Memorial Coliseum to 373-141, including an 83-13 mark under Mitchell.

  • Samarie Walker scored the first points of the game for UK with a layup.
  • Jennifer O’Neill was the first UK player off the bench at the 19:27 mark in the first half.

Team/Game Notes

  • Kentucky improved to 40-0 all-time when scoring 100 points and 7-0 under Mitchell. The Wildcats last reached triple digits against Mississippi State on Jan. 17, 2013.
  • UK’s 65-point win ranks seventh all-time in program history for largest margin of victory.
  • The Wildcats shot a season-high 40-of-79 (50.6%) from the field. Under Mitchell, UK is a perfect 21-0 when shooting 50 percent or better.
  • UK converted on 9-of-23 (39.1%) from beyond the arc, while holding the Eagles to just 21.4 percent (3-of-14) from 3-point range. The nine made 3-point field goals were a season high.
  • All 12 Wildcats in uniform saw action and played at least five minutes. No Wildcat played over 26 minutes.
  • Six UK players scored in double figures, marking the first time since Dec. 21, 2011 vs. Samford that six players reached double digits.

Individual Notes

  • Senior Bernisha Pinkett came off the bench and scored a game- and season-high 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field. She finished two points shy of her career high which she set on Nov. 28, 2012 vs. Miami (Ohio).
    • It marks the ninth time she has reached the double-figure mark and seventh time she has led the Wildcats in scoring.
    • Pinkett swiped a game-high tying four steals, her season high.
    • She went 3-of-4 from beyond the 3-point arc, tying her career high in 3-point field goals made.
  • Senior DeNesha Stallworth recorded 13 points, five boards and four steals.
    • Her 13 points mark the 29th time she has reached double digits in a Kentucky uniform, including second straight this season.
    • Stallworth has registered at least two steals in all three games this season.
  • Junior Azia Bishop recorded her second career double-double with 10 points and a career-high 12 rebounds off the bench and in just 15 minutes of action.
    • Seven of her 12 rebounds came on the offensive end to tie her career best.
  • Senior Samarie Walker scored 12 points on a perfect 5-of-5 shooting to go with nine boards, two blocks and a steal.
    • Walker extended her streak of games with at least one steal to 22.
    • Her two blocks move her into a tie for seventh all-time in UK history with 81 career blocks.
  • Senior Kastine Evans scored a season-high tying 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting.
    • Evans has reached double digits in two of the first three games this season and 14th for her career.
  • Junior Jennifer O’Neill dished out a game and season-high six assists to go with a season-high three steals.
  • Freshman Linnae Harper scored a career-high 13 points on a career-best 6-of-9 shooting.
  • Freshman Makayla Epps recorded career highs in minutes (19), points (9), assists (6) and rebounds (3). She finished 4-of-7 from the field.
  • Junior Bria Goss tied a career high in assists with four.
  • Junior Jelleah Sidney recorded seven rebounds, four steals and three assists.
    • The four steals are a career high, while she tied her career highs in rebounds and assists.
    • Sidney has grabbed seven rebounds in all three games this season.
