FLUSHING, N.Y. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team concluded their fall season at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships in Flushing, N.Y.

Sophomore Nadia Ravita competed in the first round of consolation singles and fell in a challenging three-set match to Michigan’s Ronit Yurovsky. Ravita dropped the first set 6-1, but came out on top in the second set 7-5 forcing a third, deciding set. Battling hard to claim the final set, she eventually fell 6-3.

Ravita, who is ranked 26th nationally by the International Tennis Association, finished the fall season with a 6-5 record, winning five consecutive matches and a match against University of Texas at Austin’s  No. 10 Breaunna Addison.

No. 48 Kentucky will now look ahead to their spring season that begins with matches against Ball State and the University of Cincinnati on Jan. 18, 2014.
