FLUSHING, N.Y. – University of Kentucky sophomore women’s tennis player Nadia Ravita fell in the first round at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y.

Ravita took on Oklahoma State’s Kanyapat Narattana at 1 p.m. ET in the first round of the tournament and fell after a well fought match. Losing 6-4 in the first set, Ravita tried to make a comeback, but lost the second set 6-4. 

Ravita, who was selected as an at large participant for the tournament, is only the second Wildcat to get a bid to the tournament since 2005.

Ravita will face Michigan’s Ronit Yurovsky in the singles consolation match. The match is slated to begin at 3 p.m. ET following practice at 1:30 p.m. ET.
