CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Fresh off a comeback win on Wednesday night, the Kentucky men’s soccer team will return to action with a Conference USA clash at Charlotte on Saturday, with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. ET.

Kentucky (4-6-1, 1-1-1 C-USA) is coming off a 2-1 comeback win over Valparaiso on Wednesday night, as UK completed a season-long, three-game homestand. UK fell behind vs. the Crusaders, before resting eight starters to in the second half, with UK’s youth movement leading to a pair of goals to post the 2-1 win .

The Wildcats have netted 13 goals and surrendered 14 in their first 11 games, owning a 1.24 goals-against average, owning a 191-95 advantage in shots and a 78-40 mark in corner kicks. Individually, senior Brad Doliner leads the team with four goals and one assist, with sophomore Isak Korgstad netting three goals and two assists. Jacob Scearce has a goal and two assists, with freshman Sam Miller owning a goal and two assists. Junior Justin Laird leads the team with four assists, with Napo Matsoso, Kaelon Fox and Charlie Reymann each sporting a goal and an assist. In goal, UK sophomore Callum Irving has three shutouts in seven starts, with a 1.09 goals-against average. Senior Jack Van Arsdale has four starts with a 1.50 goals-against average.

Charlotte (4-5-3, 0-3-2 C-USA) is just two year removed from playing in the NCAA Championship game. The 49ers have posted wins over Denver, No. 12 Coastal Carolina, Campbell and Central Florida. Charlotte has ties with No. 8 UAB, No. 20 Wake Forest and New Mexico, with losses to UNC Greensboro, Memphis, South Carolina, Old Dominion and No. 13 Tulsa. Individually, Guiseppe Gentile leads Charlotte in scoring with four goals and two assists. Kyle Parker has four goals and two assists, with Luke Wachter has three assists and two goals. In goal, Klay Davis has a 1.04 goals-against average with 29 saves and four shutouts.

UK met Charlotte in 2012 in Lexington, suffering a 1-0 loss as the 49ers – ranked No. 4 at the time – got a goal in the first half for the difference.
