PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif.- University of Kentucky women’s tennis player Nadia Ravita fell in her main draw singles match at the Riviera/ITA All- American Championships, Oct 3.

Opening her fall season in singles, Ravita took on Stanford’s Kristie Ahn and lost 6-1, 6-4.

“Today didn’t turn out how I wanted to, but it was a great experience for me to be able to compete out there,” Ravita said.

Ravita was the only UK player selected in main draw singles action.

Edmée Morin-Kougoucheff, Stephanie Fox, Cece Witten, Kristen Lewis and Aldila Sutjiadi will begin their fall season in the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Northwestern University, Oct. 4-6.

The five wildcats will compete against players from 10 schools including Northwestern University, University of Minnesota and Ohio University.

Junior Morin-Kougoucheff will partner with freshman Aldila Sutjiadi in doubles while senior Cece Witten will team up with junior Stephanie Fox for the first time since the 2011-12 season. The duo had a 5-2 record with all five wins coming at the No. 2 or No. 3 spot.

Action for Friday is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m. ET with the day consisting of one round of doubles and two rounds of singles.
