LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky women’s tennis players, Kelsey Dieters, Caitlin McGraw and Nadia Ravita will participate at the Riviera/ ITA All-American Championships this week in Palisades, California.

Dieters, a transfer from Ohio State, was selected in the qualifying singles draw. She will take on UCLA’s Chenelle Van Nguyen on Tuesday, October 1. The match is slated to begin at 12:30 on the lower courts. Dieters, who remained ranked throughout her sophomore season at Ohio State, is ranked 55th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association preseason rankings.

Ravita was selected in the main draw singles and will begin action on Thursday.  Ravita was 20-4 in the No. 1 spot last season and 10-3 in Southeastern Conference play. She enters 2013 ranked 26th nationally, the highest preseason ranking since 2006 for a UK singles player.

Ravita and McGraw, the No. 32 nationally ranked duo, were selected in the qualifying doubles draw. The pair won nine of their matches last spring, including three in the SEC. They are looking to continue their success with a win to begin their fall season.

“I’m extremely excited to start our fall season,” senior Caitlin McGraw said. “This is one of the most prestigious college tennis tournaments, so I’m so grateful to be given the opportunity to compete in it. All of us have been practicing really hard and I know that all the hard work we’ve been putting in will pay off in this tournament.”

Ravita and McGraw will face off with Georgia’s Herring and Kowase on Tuesday at 9 a.m. on the lower courts.

Singles semifinalists, doubles finalists and consolation champions will receive automatic entry into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships Nov. 7-10 in Flushing, N.Y.
