FRANKLIN, Tenn. – After play was delayed by two hours to begin the morning due to overnight rain, the University of Kentucky women’s golf team wrapped up competition in the second round of the Mason Rudolph Championship with a 13-over par round of 301.
The Wildcats sit in 12th place as the tournament heads into the final round. UCLA sits atop the standings at three-under par, while Arizona State (+2), North Carolina State (+7), Vanderbilt (+9) and Duke (+9) complete the top five. The final round begins Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. ET.
Rounding out the rest of the standings were North Carolina (+13), Auburn (+15), Virginia (+17), Alabama (+18), Michigan State (+20), Wake Forest (+22), Baylor (+27), Texas (+27) and Princeton (+35).
Senior Liz Breed continues to stay in the hunt for an individual championship as she is tied for 12th at one-over par. Breed finished the day with a three-over par round of 75. She had two birdies on the day to give her five through two rounds.
Sitting in a tie for 51st are sophomores Cylia Damerau and Sarah Harris at nine-over par. Damerau turned in a scorecard of five-over, 77 in the second round. Harris played a three-over par, 75 on the day.
Freshman Haley Mills had a six-over par, 78 to put her in a tie for 61st. Mills is 10-over par overall. Wrapping up the Wildcat performers Saturday was freshman Alessandra Walker, who turned in the best round on Saturday with a two-over, 74. Walker is tied for 85th at 18-over par.
