LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky men’s soccer team will conclude its 2013 preseason with an exhibition game at Northern Kentucky on Sunday, with kickoff slated for 7 p.m. ET at NKU Soccer Stadium.

Kentucky is coming off a scoreless draw vs. Dayton in the exhibition opener on Tuesday, with UK’s defensive unit posting a shutout against a Flyers team that ranked No. 7 in the NCAA in scoring in 2012.

The Wildcats played their lone exhibition game in 2012 at NKU in front of an electric, standing-room only crowd. The two teams played to a 2-2 draw in 2012, in front of a NKU record 1,206 fans, at the three-year old facility with a listed capacity of 1,000. The NKU soccer program made its transition to NCAA Division I in 2012 after a dominating tenure in Division II that saw the Norse win the 2010 National Championship.

In the 2012 meeting, UK got goals from Steven Perinovic and Caleb Richardson, owning a 13-4 advantage in shots and a 5-2 mark in shots on goal. UK was led by a game-high four shots from Kristoffer Tollefsen, with Gabriel Conelian taking two shots. UK used a combination of Callum Irving and Jack Van Arsdale in goal over the two periods.

Kentucky will open its regular season on Aug. 30 vs. Wright State at 7:30 p.m. ET at the UK Soccer Complex.
