BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team shot a 20-over-par, 308 in round two of the SEC golf championships and are tied for fourth at 38-over for the tournament. Alabama is pacing the field at 21-over but the Wildcats are just five strokes off from second place.

Junior Liz Breed was impressive for UK, firing a 1-over-par, 73 on Saturday, tallying 11 pars and three birdies. Breed, who shot 4-over in the opening round, stands at 5-over-par for the invitational and is tied for fifth place on the leaderboard.

Sarah Harris is also tied with Breed for fifth place at 5-over following two rounds of play. After a team-best 1-over-par score on Friday, the freshman posted a 4-over-par, 76 on Saturday that included two birdies in the round. Breed and Harris are five strokes off the individual leader.

Senior Ashleigh Albrecht charted a team-high 13 pars on the day, finishing at 6-over-par. Albrecht is now 13-over through 36 holes and is tied for 31st.

Cylia Damerau and Betsie Johnson shot 10-over and 9-over, respectively. The two are tied for 50th at 16-over-par.

The final round of the 54-hole tournament is scheduled to begin on Sunday at 9 a.m. ET. Johnson will be the first to tee off for Kentucky at 10:30 a.m. on hole No. 1. Damerau, Albrecht, Breed and Harris will follow, respectively, in nine minute intervals.
