LEXINGTON, Ky. – Sophomore Edmée Morin-Kougoucheff of the Kentucky women’s tennis team was named to the 2013 Southeastern Conference Women’s Tennis Community Service Team, announced Tuesday afternoon by the league office.

Morin-Kougoucheff has spent much of her two years as a Wildcat volunteering her time to serve the local community.

The sophomore has spent numerous hours volunteering with Cats Cultivating Character, a program designed for student-athletes to volunteer at local elementary schools.

A native of Capbreton, France, Morin-Kougoucheff is a common volunteer packing meals at God’s Pantry and volunteering for the God’s Pantry Back Pack program.

Along with many other UK student-athletes, she has spent time during the holiday season volunteering for the Breakfast with Santa, an event sponsored by UK Athletics at the UK Children’s Hospital.

Morin-Kougoucheff and the Wildcats open play at the SEC Tournament on Wednesday in Starkville, Miss. As the 11 seed, Kentucky faces 14th-seeded LSU at 3 p.m. ET, with hopes of advancing to face Vanderbilt on Thursday.
