LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team will hit the road to face two top-25 teams this weekend, taking on No. 8 Alabama on Friday in Tuscaloosa, Ala., at 4 p.m. ET and then traveling to Auburn, Ala., to face Auburn on Sunday at noon.

The Wildcats enter the weekend road trip 12-7 and 3-5 in conference play. This past weekend, Kentucky went on the road to face No. 28 Tennessee and No. 5 Georgia. In Kentucky’s loss to Tennessee, Nadia Ravita recorded her sixth win over a ranked opponent this year. The freshman soared in the latest rankings, moving up 14 spots to come in at No. 24 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s latest singles rankings.

Alabama enters Friday’s contest 14-2, including going 6-1 in the Southeastern Conference. The Crimson Tide had won nine consecutive matches before dropping their lone conference loss on Friday at No. 2 Florida. Alabama bounced back from the loss with a 4-1 win over South Carolina.

The Tide boast four players ranked in the ITA’s latest singles rankings, including Mary Anne Macfarlane ranking 26th.

The 22nd-ranked Auburn Tigers enter the weekend 14-4 and 4-3 in SEC matches. The Tigers went on the road this past weekend to face No. 2 Florida and South Carolina, dropping the South Carolina match 4-1 on Friday and the Florida match 4-0 on Sunday.

Auburn will face No. 19 Vanderbilt on Friday.
