BATON ROUGE, La. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team concluded their final round at the 2013 LSU Tiger Golf Classic with an eighth place finish in the 14-team field in Baton Rouge, La. The Wildcats tied for the second lowest team score of the day, shooting 21-over-par and finished the tournament at 60-over.
For the second consecutive day, senior Ashleigh Albrecht led the Wildcats with a 1-over-par, 73 round. Albrecht recorded a team-high four birdies on the afternoon, including three on the back nine. She finished tied for seventh overall at 9-over for the tournament, placing in the top-10 for the second time this year.
Senior Betsie Johnson and freshmen Cylia Damerau and Sarah Harris all finished tied for 42nd in the invitational at 19-over-par. Johnson fired the second lowest score of the day for UK with a 5-over-par, 77, while Damerau and Harris were 7-over and 8-over, respectively.
Junior Liz Breed placed 68th at 35-over and senior Heather Lott, who competed as an individual, was tied for 50th at 22-over.
