AUGUSTA, Ga. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf team wrapped up its second round at the Insperity Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate and is in ninth place out of the 18-team field at 46-over-par for the tournament. The final round of the 54-hole stroke play event is scheduled to conclude on Sunday.
Senior Betsie Johnson has been the Wildcat’s most consistent performer over the two days and is tied for 20th at 7-over-par after shooting 4-over on Saturday. Johnson tallied two birdies on the back nine and seeks to record her first top-20 finish of the spring with the final round tomorrow.
Freshman Cylia Damerau was 8-over on the day and is tied for 26th overall at 9-over for the tournament. Damerau posted nine pars and one birdie on the afternoon.
Fellow freshman Sarah Harris, who is competing as an individual, is also tied for 26th at 9-over. Harris fired a team-low for the day of 3-over-par, 75 and sank four birdies on the day.
Senior Heather Lott and junior Liz Breed were both 8-over on the day and are tied for 55th and 64th, respectively. Senior Ashleigh Albrecht is tied for 77th at 20-over.
