STATESBORO, Ga. – The second round of the Schenkel Invitational came to a conclusion on Saturday with the University of Kentucky men’s golf team currently in 10th place in the 15-team field at 16-over-par. On the day, the Wildcats shot 10-over-par, 298 and just eight strokes separate them from fourth place with a final round of 18 slated for Sunday.

Junior Ben Stow continues to lead the way for the Cats, firing his second consecutive 1-under-par, 71 and is 2-under for the tournament. Stow jumped seven spots from yesterday and is tied for sixth overall, five shots back from the top of the leaderboard. The Salisbury, England native was 2-under through the first nine holes after sinking four birdies and recorded an eagle on the par-5 hole No. 12 to finish the day at 1-under.

Senior Chase Parker and sophomore Will Bishop each carded a 2-over-par, 74 and are tied for 42nd at 6-over for the event. Parker tallied a team-high 13 pars and had two birdies on the front nine to highlight his day. Bishop recorded three birdies, while also converting an eagle on the par-5 seventh hole to conclude his afternoon.

Senior Joseph Barr, who is competing as an individual, turned in a solid round of 1-over-par, 73 charting two birdies and is tied for 37th at 5-over for the invitational. Juniors Stephen Powers (+8) and Cody Martin (+14) are tied for 63rd and 80th, respectively.

Martin will tee off the final round first for the Cats at 10:00 a.m. ET on hole No. 1. Powers, Bishop, Parker and Stow will follow, respectively, in nine minute intervals.
