AUGUSTA, Ga. – After an eighth place finish at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic over a month ago, the University of Kentucky women’s golf team returns to the links this weekend as they travel to Augusta, Ga. to compete in the sixth edition of the Insperity Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate March 15-17. The 54-hole stroke play event will begin Friday at 9 a.m. ET at the Forest Hills Golf Club.

The Wildcats lineup will feature seniors Ashleigh Albrecht, Betsie Johnson and Heather Lott, junior Liz Breed and freshman Cylia Damerau. Freshman Sarah Harris will compete in the tournament as an individual.

Albrecht was the top finisher for the Cats in their first tournament of the spring, placing tied for 14th at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic.

Along with the host team Augusta State, UK will be joined by 16 other teams in the invitational, including Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, East Tennessee, Georgia State, Illinois, Kennesaw State, Lamar, Maryland, Memphis, Notre Dame, Purdue, Southern Mississippi, Texas, UT San Antonio and Vanderbilt.

The Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate is the second of four tournaments the Wildcats will participate in the spring season. The first round will begin on Friday with an additional round of 18 scheduled for Saturday and Sunday to conclude the 54-hole invitational.
