SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Kentucky baseball team will play five televised games on the UK IMG Sports Network, bringing its total of televised games in 2013 to 16, it was announced on Friday afternoon.

The UK IMG Sports Network announced its five regular-season selections on Friday afternoon, with all five games set for telecasts on Fox Sports South. UK will play a total of 16 regular-season games on television in 2013, with the Southeastern Conference slated to have over 130 televised games in the regular-season. By comparison, the Big 12 announced its eight-game television schedule earlier in February.

The Kentucky rivalry tilt with Louisville on April 16 will be televised live on Fox Sports South at 6:30 p.m. ET at Cliff Hagan Stadium.

UK’s series with Arkansas – the preseason No. 1 ranked team in the nation – will feature two games televised on the Fox Sports Network, with the opener slated for 6:30 p.m. ET and the Saturday, May 5 game set for a 7 p.m. ET first pitch on Kentucky Derby weekend.

The UK IMG Sports Network regular-season schedule will conclude with a matchup with preseason No. 2 Vanderbilt in the series finale on May 12 at 1 p.m. ET and a May 14 game with Indiana at 6:30 p.m. ET on May 14.

No. 8 Kentucky (1-0) opened its 2013 season on Friday with a 9-2 win over UNC Asheville in Spartanburg, S.C. UK will return to action on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET with a matchup at USC Upstate at Harley Park.
