LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 18th-ranked Kentucky gymnastics team will take on its fourth top-10 Southeastern Conference adversary in a row on Friday inside Memorial Coliseum.
The Wildcats (4-3, 2-2 SEC) face No. 6 Georgia (5-4, 3-0 SEC) beginning at 7 p.m. ET.
Live video coverage as well as results will be available on UKAthletics.com. The meet will be televised on a delayed basis on CSS beginning Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. ET. Courtney Oros and Melissa Lee will call the meet.
The Wildcats previous three opponents were ranked No. 9, No. 5 and No. 6 respectively heading into the matchups.
The Wildcats check in at No.15 in the national rankings on balance beam, No. 17 on floor exercise and No. 24 on uneven bars.
Audrey Harrison has carried the banner for Kentucky much of the season with her all-around performance as the highlight of UK’s most recent meet, a 195.875-195.25 loss to No. 6 LSU last Friday at home.
Harrison shared the individual all-around title with LSU’s All-American Rheagan Courville as both totaled 39.225.
The win was the junior’s third all-around title of the season with all of them having occurred against SEC competition. Harrison now has six event victories this season.
Sara Shipley enjoyed a career night against LSU with collegiate-best 9.8s on bars and beam.
Kentucky head coach Tim Garrison and Georgia head coach Danna Durante both served on the Nebraska staff from 2006-11.
Kentucky has never defeated Georgia in gymnastics.
Friday’s meet will be Kids Day as the first 250 kids in attendance, 8th grade and younger, will receive a free gift. Friday’s meet will also be UK Alumni Association Night as UK Alumni Association members will receive free admission with their membership.
