LEXINGTON, Ky. – Senior outside hitter Ashley Frazier has been selected as a Capital One Academic All-District team member by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the second-consecutive season.

Frazier owns a 3.91 grade point average after already earning her undergraduate degree in Marketing and Management. She’s currently pursuing a Master’s of Business Administration and began work on the degree this fall.

The senior became just the 15th player in program history to amass 1,000 or more kills in her career earlier this season. She’s twice notched career-high 20-kill performances during her senior campaign and leads the Wildcats with an average of 3.03 kills per set.

Currently, the senior from Oregon, Ohio is among 10 candidates for the Senior CLASS award which looks to honor senior athletes who embody all that is a student-athlete focusing on community service, leadership, academics and on-court performance. Furthermore, Frazier is a four-time member of the Southeastern Conference Academic team.

By winning on the district level, Frazier advance to the national ballot for the Capital One Academic All-America Team, which will be announced in December. CoSIDA District II is comprised of schools from the states of Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

The Wildcats return to action with a pair of road matches against SEC Western Division foes this weekend. UK will take on Alabama on Friday night at 8 p.m. ET, and Arkansas at noon on Sunday afternoon.
