LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky swimming program will host their Holiday Technique Swim Clinic this holiday season. The three-day clinic will start Wednesday, Dec. 26 and run through Friday, Dec. 28 at the Lancaster Aquatic Center from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. each session.
The clinic will be a great opportunity for swimmers of age 5 and older to learn from a collegiate staff, including 22-year Kentucky head swimming coach Gary Conelly.
“The UK Holiday Swim Clinic will be an excellent opportunity for swimmers of all ages to develop their swimming skills from starts and turns to stroke technique,” said Conelly. “Our coaching staff, using underwater cameras and our endless pool, will give all participants critical feedback via video recordings, underwater mirrors and instant replays to significantly improve their level of swimming.”
During the three-day clinic, the Kentucky coaches and staff will break down each individual stroke into their proper mechanics through the three sessions. Participants will receive instruction and lessons both in and out of the pool.
Registration for the clinic must be received with a $90 payment by Dec. 12. No late entries will be accepted. To register, visit UKAthletics.com to follow the camp links. Payment may be made via credit card or check. All checks made payable to: UK Athletics.
Parking for the clinic is available on Complex Drive and in R2 and R3 lots near the Lancaster Aquatic Center. Those lots are located in front of Cliff Hagan Stadium (baseball) and the Nutter football facility. There is no parking permitted on University Drive.
