LEXINGTON, Ky. — The Kentucky baseball team will host three intrasquad weekend scrimmages at Cliff Hagan Stadium, starting Friday with a six-inning game at 2 p.m. ET.

Kentucky will play four total scrimmages during the week, with the Wildcats splitting into two squads to play six-inning games. On Tuesday, UK will play an intrasquad at 2 p.m. ET to open up the week. On Friday, the team will play at 2 p.m. ET, Saturday at 12:15 p.m. ET and on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. ET. The scrimmage on Saturday will conclude with a parent’s day luncheon at Cliff Hagan. All of the game times are subject to change based on weather.

Last week, UK played four total scrimmages, including a Friday six-inning game that saw UK sophomore outfielder Lucas Witt launch a homer.

The Wildcats are coming off a historic 2012 season that saw UK win a record 45 games and finish one win shy of claiming the Southeastern Conference regular-season title. UK had a school-record nine players picked in the 2012 MLB Draft – second-most in the NCAA – and led the nation with players in the Cape Cod League or with the USA National Team during the summer.
