LEXINGTON, Ky. – The academic honors for the Kentucky women’s track and field team continue to come in. One day after six female Wildcat track and field student-athletes were honored for their academic work, the UK women’s track and field team was named by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association to the 2012 Division I All-Academic Track & Field team.

The UK women were one of 171 teams to earn the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better. The Kentucky women’s team had a cumulative GPA of 3.13.

On Wednesday, six members of that team, Shelby Kennard, Cally Macumber, Julie Nunn, Allison Peare, Shiara Robinson and Jennifer Svoboda, were honored for their individual work.
