LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following a spectacular run in the 2011 NCAA Tournament, the Kentucky volleyball team will hit the court for its 2012 spring slate beginning at the Circle City Invitational in Indianapolis on March 31.

During the 2012 spring schedule, Kentucky will compete over the course of four consecutive weekends including a pair of home dates.

“Coming off a great winter of individuals, lifting, and jump training we are looking forward to competition,” UK coach Craig Skinner said. “We have set up a challenging set of events to implement new things and allow our players to gain more experience this spring.”

The Wildcats return the bulk of their lineup from the 2011 season including All-America players in libero Stephanie Klefot, setter Christine Hartmann and right-side hitter Whitney Billings.

Up first for the Wildcats is a one-day tournament in Indianapolis featuring five NCAA Tournament teams including Louisville, Western Kentucky and Ball State. The tournament is set for March 31.

Following its opening weekend of competition the Wildcats will play host to Miami (OH) and Morehead State on April 7 in Memorial Coliseum. Morehead State was also an NCAA Tournament team from a season ago.

Kentucky will then make a return trip to the KIVA Tournament in Louisville, a tournament Skinner and the Wildcats appear in every spring season. UK is set to appear in that tournament on April 14.

UK will wrap-up spring competition with another date in the friendly confines of Memorial Coliseum on April 21. Joining the Wildcats on their last day of action will be Big 10 members Ohio State and Purdue.
