LEXINGTON, Ky. – They’ve worked tirelessly all season, now the University of Kentucky men’s and women’s track and field teams will have one last chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships. On Friday and Saturday the Wildcats will split up to head to South Bend, Ind., Birmingham, Ala., and Blacksburg, Va., for their final meets of the season in hopes of earning a qualifying time or mark for the NCAA Championships held March 9-10 in Nampa, Idaho.

Many of Kentucky’s distance runners will compete in South Bend, Ind., at the Alex Wilson Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Competing for Kentucky will be senior Trent Halasek, sophomores Matt Hillenbrand and Adam Kahleifeh, freshman Sean Keane, junior Walter Luttrell, freshman Keffri Neal, senior Luis Orta and sophomore Allison Peare.

Freshman Keilah Tyson and sophomore Kayla Parker will represent the Wildcats in Birmingham, Ala., at the Alabama High Tide Qualifier, which will take place Saturday.

Freshmen Terence Boyd and Joanne Imbert, as well as senior high jumper Terri-Ann Grant will head eastward to Blacksburg, Va., for the Virginia Tech Final Qualifier on Saturday.
