LEXINGTON, Ky. – Two University of Kentucky football players, including sophomore placekicker Joe Mansour and senior tight end Nick Melillo, have been named honorable mention players of the week by the College Football Performance Awards for their impressive performance against Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Mansour was named honorable mention kickoff specialist of the week after a good game with two kickoffs for 140 yards against Vanderbilt. The native of LaGrange, Ga., averaged 70 yards per kickoff. So far this season, Mansour has 39 kickoffs with 13 touchbacks. This is Mansour’s fourth honorable mention honor this season by the College Football Performance Awards.

Melillo had a career game against Vanderbilt and was named honorable mention tight end of the week. The native of Louisville, Ky., had career highs with four catches for 59 yards and his first collegiate touchdown. Melillo, who has played in all 10 games, making nine starts, had two big catches in the game with a 25-yard reception and a 22-yard TD.

Kentucky returns to action on Saturday when it concludes the road portion of its 2011 schedule against Georgia at 12:21 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
