LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s soccer team (12-6-0, 5-5-0 Southeastern Conference) closes out the regular season this weekend, traveling to Nashville, Tenn. to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores (8-10-0, 2-8-0) in a crucial match for seeding in next week’s SEC Tournament.
With a spot in the tournament secured, Kentucky, who currently sits in seventh, can earn as high as a five seed, but needs some help in addition to their win. UK has earned thus far 15 points and sits behind Auburn (sixth with 16 points) and Tennessee (fifth with 18 points).

Senior captain Kelsey Hunyadi continues to lead the Cats offensively. In the latest release of NCAA stats, Hunyadi ranks in the top 30 of two categories and the top 50 of five.
