Joker Phillips said after a good practice on Wednesday he was looking for his team to be “perfect” the next day. The Wildcats didn’t quite live up to that high standard, but it was a solid Thursday nonetheless.”I thought we got better today,” Phillips said. “I think our kids understand the plan and we just have to go down there and play.”The focus of the Cats’ mental preparation this week has been bouncing back from mistakes as they look to pull an upset of the South Carolina Gamecocks for the second consecutive season.”We just have to take it one play at a time,” Phillips said. “If you play a 60-minute game, something bad is going to happen.”
