SAN FRANCISCO — After dominating its first five games of the season off to an unbeaten slate, No. 15 Kentucky hits the road for the first time in 2011, traveling to the Golden State for a two-game swing, facing Stanford on Friday at 5 p.m. ET at Goldman Field.

Kentucky (4-0-1) owns four wins through its first five games, also drawing a contest that was stopped after regulation due to weather. UK has posted wins over Dayton, No. 9 Michigan, Wright State and IPFW to open the season.

The Wildcats have been paced by an explosive offensive attack, firing 21.8 shots per game and owning a 51-12 advantage in corner kicks. UK has been led offensively by a dynamic tandem of Tyler Riggs and Matt Lodge, with Riggs pacing the team with four goals and four assists and Lodge owning a team-best five goals and one assist. Charles Pettys has three assists, while C.J. Tappel and Dylan Asher own two assists each. Starting keeper Tyler Beadle owns a 0.67 goals-against average through three games.

Stanford (0-3-0) has been held scoreless through the first three games, allowing six goals and firing six shots per game. Stanford has been led by Dersu Abolfathi who owns a team-high four shots, with Garrett Gunther and Taylor Amman owning three shots. Keeper Jason Dodson has allowed five goals with seven saves in two games.

The California road swing kicks off a five-game road trip, also including two games at the Gamecock Classic in Columbia, S.C., and a midweek tilt at top-10 ranked Creighton. UK’s next home game will be on Sept. 23, hosting Evansville at 7 p.m. ET.
