Why Kentucky?
I chose Kentucky because it’s a great school and I like the culture here; the people and the environment. -
What does being a Kentucky Wildcat mean to you?
It means everything. It means I need to give my best. I’m at a big program right now and I want to win it all. -
What has most impressed you most about the coaching staff?
What impresses me most is the goals they have set to win the national championship and how they want to help us become better people on and off the court.

What is your favorite part about being a Kentucky Wildcat? It’s everything. I love the school, the campus, the basketball program. I love the apartments we live in and my teammates. We have so much fun together.

What is the one thing about college life that has surprised you the most?
All the work you have to do on the court and in the classroom. -
What was it about Kentucky that you liked and influenced your decision to come here?
It was the coaches. They were really honest with me and made me feel like part of the family from the start. -
It’s early, but what’s the team chemistry like right now?
It’s great. It’s like we’re all sisters. -
Why did you choose the number
25? I’m a huge Kobe Bryant fan and he wears No. 24 but Amber Smith is No. 24. So, I went with the next best thing and that was No. 25. -
Did you come from a sporting family and did that influence you to get involved with sports?
My brother, dad and mom all played basketball in high school and my brother also played in college. -
How have the coaches helped you with the transition from high school basketball to college?
They’ve helped me with the basic stuff, all the fundamentals that I need to do. They’re helping me with the stuff I did in high school but need to do better in college. -
What’s your major?
I’m undecided right now. -
What is your dream job?
I want to be a college coach or in media relations. -
What is your favorite shot on the court?
A sideline jumper. -
What’s your favorite movie?
Love and Basketball. -
What are you most looking forward to this season?
Winning it all, a national championship. -
How do you think you’re going to feel the first time you step out on the floor in Memorial Coliseum?
I’ll probably be a little nervous but I’ll get used to it. My teammates told me it gets really loud and our fans are awesome. -
Has there been any one player who has taken you under their wing to help the transition?
Jennifer O’Neill. She’s helped me around the campus and around the gym and stuff like that. I knew her in high school so it was an easy transition. -
Is there a motto you live by each day?
Hard work beats talent when talent isn’t working hard. -
What are your thoughts about playing in the SEC?
I’m definitely excited about the teams we’re going to be going up against. Every team in the SEC is tough and it’s going to be a battle every game. -
What impresses you most about Coach Mitchell?
He’s a fun guy to be around but on the court he’s all business. He pushes you to work hard and be your best.
