In preparation for the 2011 Kentucky men’s soccer season, UKathletics.com is rolling out a series of player questionnaires, allowing fans, friends and family to get an inside look at UK soccer.
The series continues with UK standout sophomore forward Tyler Riggs, who broke onto the UK scene as a true freshman. A native of Louisville, Ky., Riggs led UK in goals in 2010, netting five goals and playing in all 19 games, with 13 starts. Riggs netted three game-tying goals and two game-winning tallies, firing 24 total shots, earning All-Conference USA accolades.
Getting to Know Tyler Riggs
What is your favorite thing about Kentucky?
– The supportive atmosphere of the university where I have the ability to get a great degree in Engineering, while at the same time get to play soccer for a highly regarded division I school.

Favorite memory of being a UK student-athlete?
– Scoring my first collegiate goal against EIU in the first game of my freshman season, then signing autographs after the game.

– Jamaica

What is something most people don’t know about you?
– I love to play board games
